You know best. Know Early.

All babies are uniquely and wonderfully made and they change so much in the first three years. While all babies are different, they all should reach certain milestones in their development to be sure they are growing up healthy.

You know your child. If you’re worried about their development, it’s never too early for Early Intervention.

Early Intervention is ...

In a nutshell, Early Intervention helps guide, train, and equip parents and caregivers on ways they can help their child grow, learn, and participate in everyday activities. EI works with the family as a partner, providing services for infants and toddlers under the age of three who have a developmental delay.

While EI does not diagnose the child, there are some medical diagnoses that can delay normal development or there could be other reasons preventing the child from meeting developmental milestones. This is when it is important to connect with EI services, as EARLY as possible.

EI follows Eight Core Values in its work with families. These values guide our staff and providers in putting a plan together for the individual needs of the child and family.

Important Milestones

Early Intervention is Important because ...

Your baby’s brain is making most if its connections in the first three years of life. These connections are the foundation for learning, behavior, and health.

The earlier developmental delays are detected and intervention begins, the greater the chance your child has of achieving his or her best potential.

Acting early gives your child a chance to receive the appropriate therapy, giving him or her the best chance for a good outcome in the future.
